This kingdom in the Himalayas operates differently. Bhutan opened its doors to tourists for 45 years, and it prioritizes its environment, culture, and well-being over profits. Trekkers, wildlife enthusiasts, and Buddhist pilgrims will all enjoy a Bhutan visit. You'll encounter moments - and people - that make happiness feel like the norm, not a goal, from the mind-blowing Tiger's Nest (Paro’s Taktsang monastery) to the prayer halls of Gangte Gompa.
One of the important sites of Bhutan cultural tour to see is the Tiger's Nest, which in fact is a monastery built on solid rock. Archery festivals and masked dances are some of the interesting events to watch out for in the country. Bhutan is trying to find a balance between tradition and modernization, which explains the restrictions on the number of tourists that are allowed to visit.
Our guides were amazing. We felt perfectly safe and looked after.
