Mardi Himal Trek

Mardi Himal Trekking has emerged a wonderful trip for the adventure seekers in Nepal, which is not so much crowded.This week-long journey combines all of the benefits of other Annapurna region treks like Annapurna Base Camp trek and Poon Hill Trek with a bit more nature and serenity. It is unspoiled rugged trails, ridges and low crowd so this trek is perfect for the trekkers for lifetime memories and to witness the natural beauty of Nepal. It is suitable for beginner or experienced trekkers to trek through the isolated trail inside the rhododendron woods.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Pokhara and Overnight

To start off your trekking journey, our team in Kathmandu will assist in transferring your luggage to the airport for your domestic flight to Pokhara. Upon arrival in Pokhara, our representatives will be waiting to drive you to your hotel. You'll have the rest of the day to enjoy Pokhara at your leisure, whether it's exploring the city, taking leisurely strolls, or simply relaxing at your hotel to prepare for the adventures awaiting you the next day.

Day 2: Drive to Kande and Start trek to Deurali and Overnight (B, L, D)

From Pokhara, we continue our journey by road, accompanied by guide(s) and porter(s), to the starting point of our trek at Kande. From there, we trek for approximately 5 to 6 hours to reach Pitam Deurali. The trek from Kande to Pitam Deurali takes us through forested areas dominated by Pine Trees and other vegetations, with a gradual ascent along the way. We'll check into one of the tea houses for the night, where we can rest and recharge for the journey ahead.

Day 3: Trek to Forest Camp and Overnight (B, L, D)

After breakfast, our journey takes us through the forested area. The tranquil ambiance of the surroundings adds to the charm to the journey. The forest trail is adorned with lush greenery, providing a picturesque backdrop to our trekking experience. The route typically spans around 4 to 5 hours, leading us to the forest camp, locally known as Kokar, where we'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. We'll spend the night at the tea house, resting for the days ahead.

Day 4: Trek to High Camp and Overnight (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we set out on our trek towards the high camp, where we begin to experience the higher elevations of our journey. En route, we bid farewell to Manjh Danda near the low camp and transition to Nangge Danda from Badal Dabda. The views from Badal Danda are majestic, offering a sense of being elevated above the mountains themselves. As we trek, Machapuchhre Himal (Mount Fishtail) draws nearer which brings our day's trek to conclude as we reach the high camp where we'll settle in for the night.

Note: Badal Danda (3250 m), High Camp (3550 m) – Time taken: 6 – 7 hrs.

Day 5: Trek to Mardi Base Camp then back to Low camp and Overnight (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will set out for a challenging but awarding day ahead. Our path to the Mardi Base Camp will lead us along steep trails as we ascend to higher elevations. Upon reaching our destination, we will be rewarded with a majestic and close-up view of the Mardi Himal, as well as breathtaking vistas of the Machhapuchhre Himal and the Annapurna ranges. Take your time to soak in the awe-inspiring scenery before we begin our descent back to Low Camp.

Note: Mardi Base Camp (4500 m), Low Camp (3050 m) – Time taken: 7-8 hrs.

Day 6: Trek to Siding Village and Overnight

After breakfast, we will be trekking down toward the siding village while enjoying scenic views of valleys and forests. We'll pass through villages and admire terraced fields. Upon reaching Siding, we'll have the option to explore and experience traditional village lifestyle. We'll spend the night here, allowing us to rest and unwind after our trekking journey.

Day 7: Back to Pokhara and Overnight

At morning after breakfast, we will walk towards the nearest bus stop where our private vehicle will be waiting to drop us off at our hotel back in Pokhara. It will be a 4 hours’ drive from Siding. It’s a leisure day so you could choose to rest at the hotel or explore the vibrant lakeside town at your pace. We will conclude our day here.

Day 8: Fly back to Kathmandu

Our staff will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to the airport for your scheduled flight back. After landing, we will transfer you to your hotel where you can rest until your scheduled international flight.

Day 1. Fly or Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

Day 2. Drive to Kande (1,770 m) and trek to Deurali (2,200 m) – 4 to 5 hours.

Day 3. Trek to Forest Camp (2,600 m) – 5 to 6 hours.

Day 4. Trek to High Camp (3,150 m) – 6 to 7 hours.

Day 5. Trek to Mardi view point – Mardi base camp and back to Low camp, (2,990 m) – 5 to 6 hours.

Day 6. Low camp to Sidding village -5 to 6 hours.

Day 7. Sidding to Lumre (1,250m) 3/4 hours and drive back to Pokhara, (850) – 2 to 3 hours.

Day 8. Fly or Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara.

Confirmation of booking

All bookings are made in good faith. Once we have received your booking we will send you an invoice giving payment details.

We will require an advance deposit of US$ 200 per person in order to hold your booking on a secure basis with the balance to be paid prior to your arrival in Nepal.

Terms and Conditions

Cancellation Policy
Arrangements may be cancelled at any time but the cancellation should be communicated to us in writing. Since cancellation incurs administrative costs, we will retain any deposit paid and in addition will apply cancellation charges as follows.
Period before departure within which written cancellation is received, and sum of cancellation charge shown as a percentage of the package price:
  • More than 60 days: Deposit only
  • 31-60 days: 50%
  • 15-30 days: 75%
  • Less than 15 days: 100%
Price Increases
Any unforeseen cost increases beyond our control will be passed on directly to the guest, whenever such increases occur.
This could include (but is not limited to) such items as airfares, fuel costs, government taxes, currency exchange variations, etc. In some cases, an increase might also be applicable if group numbers drop below the originally costed number.

Change of Itinerary
We reserve the right to change or alter any itinerary at any time for reasons beyond our control. These could include but are not limited to adverse weather conditions, cancellation of flights or government restrictions in certain areas.
Whenever we are forced to make such late changes, we will always endeavor to give guests as much advance notice as possible and to ensure that the alternate itinerary achieves, insofar as possible, the objectives of the original tour.

  • Transfer to trek start point and to Pokhara from trek end point
  • Three time meals a day during the trek - Breakfast with tea or coffee, Lunch and Dinner
  • Trekking accommodation in teahouse during the trek
  • Experienced English Speaking, government licensed guide and porter and all their expenses during the trek like his transfer, insurance, salary, meals and accommodation (porter will carry max. 20 kg luggage)
  • All Trekking permit – Annapurna Conservation Area Permit Fee & TIMs card fee
  • Personal warm sleeping bag and liner
  • First aid kit and duffel bag
  • All government taxes

  • Hotel accommodations in Kathmandu and Pokhara before and after the trek we will book only on your request
  • Airfare/Transportation from Kathmandu/Pokhara and Pokhara/ Kathmandu
  • Travel Insurance in case of emergency for rescue and other medication
  • Entry visas fee for Nepal
  • All kind of hot and cold drinks - coke, fanta, beer, whisky, bottle of water, hot water, tea, coffee etc.
  • Personal expenses like wifi, hot shower, telephone, battery charge fee.
  • Extra days out of the itinerary
  • Gratuities for staffs (guide, porter, driver)
